Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and entrepreneurial-minded Psychotherapist to join our team part-time. This role is perfect for a clinician looking to not only provide exceptional therapeutic care but also gain valuable insights into the operations of a private practice. The ideal candidate will manage a caseload of individual therapy clients, facilitate psychoeducation groups, and play a key role in our marketing and community engagement efforts. This position requires a minimum of 12 hours a week which may include weekday evenings and weekend morning/afternoon.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide individual therapy sessions, managing a diverse caseload.
Manage an active case load of 12-18 clients maintaining an 80% utilization rate for weekly billable sessions while ensuring high-quality client care.
Plan and facilitate psychoeducation groups that align with our mission and client needs, with a minimum of one psychoeducational group per quarter.
Contribute to the growth of our practice by participating in marketing activities including but not limited to social media efforts, writing blogs, and creating content that reflects our brand’s mission and values.
Lead and facilitate workshops, and actively engage in community events to increase brand visibility and promote our mission as needed
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and supervisory processes.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by the Clinical Director, including but not limited to assisting with the development and implementation of new programs and initiatives.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients, team members, and external providers.
Ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and balance clinical and administrative responsibilities.
Knowledge of or strong clinical documentation skills
Knowledge of mental health diagnoses, evidence-based interventions, and best practices in psychotherapy.

Education and Experience:
Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
Active, unrestricted clinical license (LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or equivalent) in NYS
Minimum of one year of post-graduate clinical experience providing psychotherapy.
Training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc.) is a plus.
Experience working with diverse populations, particularly BIPOC communities, is strongly preferred.
Experience in group facilitation and psychoeducation.

The position is hybrid, requiring at least two days in the office. The ideal candidate should be available to work a minimum of three weekday evenings and one weekend day.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Required Skills/Abilities:
Knowledge of DSM-V, CBT, DBT, ACT, or other clinical modalities
Ability to manage a client caseload of 25-30 clients
Ability to work independently and/or use clinical judgment when needed.
Knowledge of clinical documentation including treatment plan, progress note, bio-psychosocial assessment etc.
Strong writing skills and a willingness to contribute to blogs and social media.
A proactive, entrepreneurial spirit with an interest in private practice operations.

Education and Experience:

Licensed in New York State as an LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, or equivalent or Limited Permit.

The Care Coordinator/Psychotherapist is a full-time role that blends direct clinical work with care coordination responsibilities. This position operates under the supervision of the Clinical Director and plays a key role in managing the clinical care needs of clients at Wellness Tree Counseling. The Care Coordinator/Psychotherapist will carry a caseload of 25-30 clients per week while also serving as a liaison between clients, providers, and the clinical care team. The position is hybrid, requiring at least three days in the office. The ideal candidate should be available to work a minimum of three weekday evenings and one weekend day.
Clinical Responsibilities:
Provide individual therapy sessions to a diverse caseload of clients while maintaining a weekly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) of 25 billable sessions
Plan and facilitate psychoeducational groups, with a minimum of one group per quarter.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensuring completion within 24 hours and no later than 48 hours of each client encounter.
Engage in continuing education in accordance with licensing board requirements and actively maintain licensure.
Care Coordination Responsibilities:
Coordinate intake and new client assignments to ensure timely and appropriate assignment of client to care team.
Serve as the first point of contact for the clinical care team regarding client care needs and concerns.
Coordinate client care with outside providers, including medical professionals, psychiatrists, and other mental health specialists.
Assist in implementing and monitoring clinical workflows to optimize client care and operational efficiency.
